Denim on Denim on Denim

This story is a short one. I saw this blazer on Shopbop and I had to have it. Its oversized, super comfy, goes with so many things and super 90s, which I love. Its just so good and definitely a classic piece for me. I wanted to keep it simple and effortless so paired it with a basic white tee, my Levi icons and some white booties. Links are below:) Enjoy!

Early Fall Daytime Look (P.S. this whole outfit was under $175)

So I began writing this as I would any other style focused blog post. I would usually describe how “obsessed” I was with this or that piece of clothing or accessory. And then tell you how it is so comfortable and easy to wear, how it is transitional, and flattering on the body. And then I realized that you can read that blog post everywhere.

My spirit led me to focus on other things in this post...the things you can’t see. About what’s lying beneath all the pretty clothes and makeup. About how, when my photographer asked if I wanted to take off my blazer, I immediately became self conscious because I usually HATE how my arms photograph and how slip dresses don’t hug my waist….and people might think that I look chunky because my figure isn’t defined.

Lessons from My Chanel

My husband (boyfriend at the time) bought this beautiful Chanel Flap Bag for me about 6 years ago. I was so excited about this gift, mostly (okay completely) because it was Chanel and I was fresh out of college, interning for pennies and had barely even touched a Chanel bag at that point in my life. But to be completely honest, I didn’t love the bag itself very much (sorry babe), I wasn’t one for bright colors, I was confused about the perforated leather, and it didn’t look like the Chanel that everyone else had. So it sat in the back of my closet for months...well honestly years.

Chic Summer Date Night Outfit

On my honeymoon in Italy, I saw this lady in a very similar dress to the one you see pictured. I was obsessed with it. It was just so chic, it was the same cut, high neckline, but I think it had chain detail instead of the floral detail you see on mine. Anyway, I started searching for a similar dress and came across this one nearly a year ago. I've just recently started putting it to use. It is suuuuper lightweight silk crepe fabric; really breathable and airy, so perfect for a Texas summer.

The Perfect Summer Wrap Dress

It’s not officially summer yet, but Dallas is smoldering! Like don’t stay outside for more the 15 minutes hot, yet here I am with my wrap dress and white booties, sipping on a hot latte in 100 degree weather all in the name of fashion:).

But seriously, although the coffee is hot, it doesn’t get much more easy breezy than this dress! It is literally like wearing a silk night gown. I love the bright green color and the floral detailing as well, gives me all the spring/summer vibes.
